Brian Madigan has been producing music for visual media for over 15 years, originally specialising in contemporary dance, then moving to theatre, film and advertising. His ability to quickly and imaginatively interpret the ideas and suggestions of directors, choreographers and producers has made him a popular choice of composer in all areas.
Brian enjoys writing in a variety of genres and his music is characterised by strong rhythmic and thematic foundations. He has a good ear for a ‘hook’ and the ability to develop simple motifs into complex arrangements where necessary. With a wealth of experience playing in a wide variety of settings and styles (on drums, percussion, flute, keyboards, guitar and vocals), Brian has access to a broad net of top professional musicians.
Tutored in composition at Middlesex University by internationally renowned composer Richard Barrett and in the US by computer-music specialist Bruce Mahin, Brian gained a 1st in Composition and a BA (Hons) in Music. His work continues to combine technology with ‘real’ sound and experimentation with more conventional musical forms.
