Dance Notes came about because
teachers just like you kept saying to me 'I
can't find any decent music for teaching
dance' or 'I seem to spend all my time
rifling through my albums for something
to use'. And so I gave you the Dance
Notes music series.

But then you asked: 'what do I do with it?
I dont have the time to work out lesson
plans. I'm not experienced in dance'.

Don't worry, your pleas were heard. Not
only will you find a growing library of
lesson plans here but they are free for
you to download. Anything else? Let me
know.

What about lessons?
The lessons plans are FREE to download:
just go to the lesson plans page and take
your pick.

What do they cover?
All aspects of the curriculum at primary
level. See QCA guidelines

What ages are they for?
Lessons are grouped under UK Key Stage
1 (ages 4-7) and Key Stage 2 (7-11).
Attainment levels vary between year
groups in different schools and you will
want to link your dance work to classroom
themes. It is up to you how you then
apply this to different year groups.

Can I get printed lessons?
The internet has made it viable to make
lesson plans available on-demand and at
no cost. If you would prefer to have
printed copies sent to you, please get in
touch. If there is sufficient demand for this
service, it can be introduced in the near
future.

What do I get?
A growing library of music, suitable for use
at all levels of education, plus free lesson
plans.

What kind of music?
All kinds: everything from African chanting
to modern dance beats

Can I hear some?
Yes, you can hear all the tracks at the CDs
page.

Can I have CDs on
approval?
It's not viable to send CDs on approval but
you can listen to all the tracks right away at
the CDs page.
